Recently, I blogged about wanting to review the Jessner Skin Peel. Well, today my kit arrived!
I opened up the box and this is what’s inside:
The kit includes instructions, gauze pads, peel solution, and neutralizing spray.
The instructions say to try a test patch behind your ear, so I did. At first, I was some what terrified. I started the process and applied one layer of the peel and left it on for 5 minutes. Honestly, I expected a lot more burning, but then again, I only did a small patch behind my ear, and not my entire face. I’m still quite nervous about the whole face. I’m supposed to wait three days before starting the peel to see how my neck reacts. Here’s some “normal” things I might experience: “frosting,” swelling, gradual darkening, and scabbing. Yuck. I’ll have my husband take “before” pictures of my face tonight so we can compare before and after. I’ll also be sure to update with “in the process” pictures so you can see all the lovely frosting and scabbing.
I might wait a few more days so I don’t have a gross scabby face for First Wednesday or church on Sunday.
I’ll keep you posted!
